Terms of use

These terms explain how Pepper works, what you can do with it, and what you agree to when you use it.

Using Pepper

Pepper helps you connect financial accounts to AI apps so you can ask questions about balances, transactions, spending, income, subscriptions, and related account activity.

You can use Pepper from supported AI apps and from the Pepper console. The console helps you manage connected accounts, review access, and disconnect services when needed.

By using Pepper, you agree to use it for your own lawful purposes and to follow these terms.

Your account

Pepper may create or identify your account when you sign in with email or when you connect Pepper from a supported AI app.

You are responsible for using an email account you control and for keeping access to that email secure. If you lose access to your email, you may lose access to Pepper until ownership can be verified.

You should not share your Pepper access with anyone who is not allowed to view or manage your financial information.

Connected accounts

Only connect bank, fintech, wallet, card, or payment accounts that you own or have permission to use.

When you connect an account, Pepper may receive account details, balances, transactions, identity details, and other information made available by the connected provider.

You can disconnect accounts from Pepper. Disconnecting an account may stop new data from coming in, but Pepper may keep records needed for security, support, legal, and operational reasons.

AI app access

Pepper is built to work with AI apps like ChatGPT and other supported clients. Those apps may request permission to read selected Pepper data or perform supported actions.

Pepper only shares data with an AI app after access has been granted through the connection flow. You can review and revoke access from Pepper.

AI apps are separate services. Their use of your chats, prompts, and responses is controlled by their own terms and privacy policies.

Read-only access and future money actions

Pepper starts with read-only money access. That means Pepper can help answer questions and summarize account activity, but it is not moving money in this version.

If Pepper adds payments, transfers, bill payments, approvals, or other money actions, those actions will require clear user approval before they run.

You are responsible for checking any action before approving it, including the amount, recipient, account, fees, timing, and purpose.

Accuracy and availability

Pepper depends on financial institutions, connection providers, AI apps, networks, and other third-party systems. Data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, unavailable, or different from what your bank or fintech app shows.

Pepper may summarize or transform data to make it easier to understand. You should confirm important information directly with your bank, fintech provider, or official account statement before making decisions.

Pepper may be unavailable at times because of maintenance, outages, provider limits, security issues, or changes made by third-party services.

No financial advice

Pepper helps you view, search, and understand your money data. It does not provide financial, legal, tax, investment, credit, or accounting advice.

Any summaries, categories, insights, or explanations from Pepper are for information only. You are responsible for your decisions and should speak with a qualified professional where needed.

Security

Pepper is designed around clear consent, limited access, and user control. We work to protect connected account data, access tokens, consent records, and account activity.

You should contact us quickly if you think your Pepper account, email, connected account, or AI app access has been used without permission.

No system is perfect. Pepper may suspend access, revoke sessions, or limit features if we detect abuse, security risk, suspicious activity, or a need to protect users.

What you should not do

Do not use Pepper to access accounts you do not own, violate the rights of another person, reverse engineer the service, bypass access controls, overload the service, or use Pepper for fraud, scams, illegal transactions, or harmful activity.

Do not submit false information, interfere with other users, or use Pepper in a way that could damage Pepper, AndaLabX, connected providers, AI apps, or financial institutions.

Third-party services

Pepper works with banks, fintechs, account connection providers, email providers, hosting providers, AI apps, and other infrastructure services.

Those services are not controlled by Pepper. They may change, fail, restrict access, or apply their own terms. Pepper is not responsible for third-party products or services outside our control.

Changes to Pepper and these terms

Pepper will change as the product grows. We may add, remove, limit, rename, or change features, providers, supported AI apps, and account connection options.

We may update these terms when the product, law, risk, or business changes. If a change is important, we may notify users through the product, email, or another reasonable channel.

If you continue using Pepper after the terms change, the updated terms apply to your use of Pepper.

Ending access

You can stop using Pepper at any time. You can disconnect accounts, revoke AI app access, and stop signing in.

Pepper may suspend or end access if we believe these terms have been broken, if use creates risk, if required by law or a provider, or if the service is discontinued.
